A few years ago I lived with a girl from Budapest, so I had to see where she came from (ok, I would have gone anyway... sorry Zita). I took my first night train and wihtout a bed, but I did manage to get some sleep. This was the first place that I did not have a booking beforehand, so I went to the tourist info at the train and they made a reservation for me at a hostel downtown- it turned out to be quite nice. I did my tour- a bike tour through the city. It was really nice and small- just me, this Austrailian guy (surprise, surprsise... they are everywhere!), and the tour guide. He was really knowledgeable and it was nice to bike again (I did some in Amsterdam). Afterward, I went to one of the thermal baths in the city- this was sooooo relaxing! Yesterday I took a train about an hour outside the city to this little town- it was good to see another side of Hungary. This is just a nice city to walk around in and hang out and sit at cafes as well.
these are some great pics that you took Mikki! I'm so glad that you actually got that Gwen ticket( "so Mikki did you by that ticket yet?" "No, not yet." " Didn't you say you were going like a month ago?" "..yeah..") and that it worked out. I am so happy that you are in Europe exploring right now. You seem to be having such a great time! I can't wait to see what you do next. haha.
